Wynona Gay Sponaugle, 90, of Franklin, WV passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA.

She was born March 13, 1927 at Brandywine, WV and was the daughter of the late Franklin Spencer Evick and Fannie Marie Propst Evick.

She was a homemaker and a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

On August 8, 1951, she married Ervin Sponaugle, who preceded her in death on August 11, 1992.

Marcia Lerch (& husband, Harry E.) of Charles Town, WV

Kathy Fleisher of Franklin, WV

One son –

Dwight Sponaugle (& wife, Donna) of Franklin, WV

Six grandchildren – Kevin R. Sponaugle, Kirby Sponaugle, Jennifer Lerch, Stephanie Fleisher, Melissa Herbert and Garrett Sponaugle

And three great-grandchildren – Kelsey Sponaugle, Kaley Sponaugle and Kynleigh Sponaugle.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law – Charles Reid Fleisher.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 18 in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home with Brother Thomas Hanks officiating.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
