Wilma Lee Moreland Brizzi was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Mechanicsville, Maryland on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the age of 78.

She was born September 18, 1943 at Levels, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Elmer Nixon Moreland and Una Frazier Bowen Moreland.

After graduating from Paw Paw High School, Wilma worked as an administrative assistant for the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dominic Brizzi, Jr.  Together they had four children, who survive -

Lawrence Anthony Brizzi (& Susan) of Pylesville, MD

Teresa Marie Loweth of Mechanicsville, MD

Frank Dominic Brizzi III (& Teresita) of Hughesville, MD

Nicholas M. Brizzi (& Jerri) of Millsboro, VA

Also surviving are -

One stepdaughter - Joy Buell (& Billy) of Valley Lee, MD

One sister –

Doris Moreland (& Delyle) of Points, WV

Fifteen grandchildren -

Cassandra, Christina, Alexander, Amanda, Lianna, Nolan, Dominic, Hunter, Sarah, Gabrielle, Zane, Hope-Elizabeth, Amelia-Grace, Nicholas and Michael

And five great-grandchildren -

Jasmin, Aubrey, Elisea, Bradley and Savannah.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah.

Wilma loved to sew, most notably gorgeous quilts, that she made sure every grandchild had.  She enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family, and was known for her weekend pancakes.  Wilma also played the organ beautifully and enjoyed listening to and singing along with Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Sunday, April 10 at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue in Paw Paw, West Virginia, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with her son, Frank Dominic Brizzi III officiating.

Interment will be at Woodrow Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of St. Mary's Hospice.
