Mr. William Hinkle Ruddle, 95, of Franklin, West Virginia died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was born January 9, 1916 at Deer Run, West Virginia and was the son of the late Taylor Ruddle and Bessie Mahulda Henkel Ruddle. Hinkle was a plumber, having worked as a Civilian Contractor for the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Franklin Moose Lodge and Franklin Vol. Fire Dept. He was first married to Hazel Pauline Judy Ruddle Slusser. On February 19,1951, he married Mary Frances Shobe Ruddle, who preceded him in death on June 17, 1979. Hinkle is survived by - One daughter - Donna Sponaugle of Arlington, VA Three sons - Dale Ruddle and his wife, Anita of Philippi, WV Steven Ruddle of Franklin, WV Randy Ruddle and his wife, Frances of Franklin,WV One brother - Raleigh Ruddle and his wife, Genevieve of Franklin, WV Six grandchildren - Michael Ruddle, Robyn Loew, Brandon Ruddle, Catherine Ruddle, Timothy Ruddle and Ashley Calkins Eight great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, West Virginia with Rev. Robert Anderson and Pastor Rob Borror officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin. Gene Boggs, Tracy Ruddle, Guy Harper, William Ray Hartman, Paul Swartz and Leland Propst will serve as his pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
