Mr. William Donald Hickman, 83, of Upper Tract, WV passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the home of his daughter. He was born October 17, 1927 in Manhattan, NY and was the son of the late Donald Hickman and Ethel Toro Hickman. He had worked as an interpreter at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. Mr. Hickman was a Veteran, having served as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, and was Catholic by faith. On December 31, 1953, he married Clemencia Jimenez-Velez, who preceded him in death on July 2, 1989. He is survived by - One daughter - Maria Christina (& Steve) Horan of Upper Tract, WV One son - Carlos Donald (& Pam) Hickman of Kensington, MD Four grandchildren - Cole, Connor, Ryan, Christopher The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, West Virginia. Revs. Craig & Wendy Richter and Mr. John Windett will conduct a funeral service at 7:00 PM Thursday at Kimble Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at Silver Spring, MD at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7.
