Wendell E. Warner, 73, of Franklin, WV passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Huntington, WV after a lengthy battle with kidney disease.

He was born September 24, 1946 at Riverton, WV and was the son of the late Mona C. Warner.

Wendell was a 1964 graduate of Circleville High School and a 1969 graduate of Shepherd College.  His teaching career began at Highland County Schools, where he was also a basketball coach.  He later taught at Franklin Elementary and North Fork Elementary Schools before retiring.  He was a farmer and enjoyed watching old westerns. Wendell was a member of the Franklin Moose Lodge #769.

On August 15, 1965, he married Marcia Combs Warner, who survives.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Mike Loudermilk and Pastor David Morris officiating.
