Mr. H. Wayne George, 84, of Riverton, WV passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

He was born May 10, 1934 at Riverton, WV and was the son of the late Walter George and Gracie Vandevander George.

Wayne was a 1954 graduate of Circleville High School and a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.  He had worked at the Ford garage at Seneca Rocks, was a school bus driver and retired after 29 years at Hanover Shoe Company.  He was Methodist by faith and a member of the Spruce Mountain Ruritan Club.

On October 14, 1978, he married Sally Simmons George, who survives.

Toney George (& Nancy) of Petersburg, WV

He was preceded in death by one infant sister, Nancy George.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday, November 25 with Pastor Tommy George officiating.

Interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
