Wanda Mae Hedrick, 82, of Brandywine, West Virginia passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, West Virginia.

She was born July 6, 1942 at Elkton, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Sherby Lumsford Smith and Edna Johnson Smith.

She retired from Brockway and worked in private home care. She had attended Eastpoint Baptist Church in Elkton, Virginia.

She is survived by –

Terry Matheny of Rainsville, AL

Billie Miklos of Pinellas Park, FL

One son –

Brian Miklos (Amy) of Mt. Pleasant, TX

One stepson –

Stanley "Willie" Hedrick (Patricia) of PA

A sister-in-law –

Judy Smith of Weyers Cave, VA

Fifteen Grandchildren

Twenty-eight Great-Grandchildren

And six Great-Great-Grandchildren

A Nephew –

Dwight Smith of Fulks Run, VA

A Niece –

Lisa Jenkins of Mt. Crawford, VA

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Allen Miklos; brother, Dwight Smith; grandsons, Brandon Keith Miklos and Dusty Heishman; granddaughter, Misty Cloney and a son-in-law, Harold Matheny.

Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pendleton Manor who were involved with her care, and who were like family to her.  We sincerely appreciate all the love you showed her and all the care you gave her.
