Wanda Eye Hedrick, 87, of Marlinton, West Virginia, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton after an extended illness due to complications of Lewy Body Dementia.

She was born January 13, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Iva Margaret Propst and Daniel Michael Propst.

Wanda was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School.  She was the owner and operator of Eye's Dariland in Marlinton from 1962 – 1970.  She worked as a teacher's aide and later retired from the Pocahontas County Assessor's Office after 27 years of service.  She was a member of the Marlinton Presbyterian Church, Marlinton V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Pocahontas Promenaders Square Dance Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse S. Eye on January 4, 1977.  Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Elvin and Hurl Propst and two sisters, Norma Walker and Louise Vandevander.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandywine, WV with Revs. Jason and Jess Felici officiating.
