Mr. Walter Thomas Behe, Jr., 83, of Paw Paw, WV died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home. He was born July 17, 1926 at Altoona, PA and was the son of the late Walter Behe, Sr. and Esther Winn Behe. He was retired from the Washington D.C. Police Dept. after twenty years of service, and was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. Walter was an Aircraft Gunner during WWII and the Korean War. He was Catholic by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ervil Wright Behe, on July 27, 2000. Also preceding him in death was one daughter, Kathleen Maggio, of Clinton, MD. He is survived by - Three daughters - Barbara Davis of Paw Paw, WV Esther Campbell of Spring Hill, FL Susan Honaker of Columbia, MD One sister - Mary Esther McNiece of MD Three brothers - Frances Behe of MD Alfred Behe of MD Brian Behe of MD Eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, WV with Father Leonard Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, April 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD at 11:00 AM Monday, April 19, 2010.
