Mr. Virgil Henry Rexrode, 92, of Franklin, WV died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at his home. He was born November 5, 1918 at Fort Seybert, WV and was the son of the late Glen Washington Rexrode and Myra Elizabeth Eye Rexrode. He was a salesman for Pendleton Motor Sales and Eye & Craig, and was a school bus driver for Pendleton County Schools. Virgil was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, a member of the Franklin Lions Club, and a Charter member of the Franklin Ruritan Club. On April 19, 1945, he married Myrtle Propst Rexrode, who preceded him in death on December 10, 2006. Surviving are - One son - Stephen D. (& wife, Jenny) Rexrode of Petersburg, WV One sister - Leafy Rexrode of Franklin, WV Two brothers - Paul E. Rexrode of Franklin, WV Fred A. Rexrode of Bridgewater, VA Two grandchildren - Amy Rexrode Berg Robert Stephen Rexrode Two step-grandchildren - Cynthia Meek Hartman Michael Steven Meek Two great-grandchildren Five step-great-grandchildren One step-great-great-grandson And his special faithful caregivers - Stevie Stump, Loretta Graham, Irene Stump and Joann Plaugher Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church in Franklin with Pastors Craig and Wendy Richter officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 21 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
