Vincent James Barrett, Jr., 76, of Franklin, WV passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home.

He was born July 18, 1940 in Baltimore, MD and was the son of the late Vincent James Barrett, Sr. and Eileen Smith Barrett.

Vincent worked and retired as a civilian ship fitter at the Coast Guard Shipyard in Curtis Bay, MD.  He was a faithful member of the Jehovah's Witness congregation in Franklin, WV.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Anne Sturgill Barrett, who he married on April 7, 1962.

Vincent is also survived by his four daughters –

Karen Weddle (& John) of Pasadena, MD

Laura Rollins (& Timothy) of Easton, MD

Tracie Ward (& Gary) of Hurlock, MD

Jennifer Barrett of Crofton, MD

And one son –

Christopher Barrett (& Megan) of Baltimore, MD

Ten grandchildren

And six great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Barrett and a sister, Janice Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Oakwood Estates, Franklin, WV 26807.  Hilrey Heckler will officiate the service.  The location of a celebration of Vincent's life will be announced following the service.
