Varley Lambert, Jr., 73, of Singers Glen, VA, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg.

He was born March 29, 1949 at Cherry Grove, WV and was the son of the late Varley Gus Lambert, Sr. and Alfreda Arbaugh Lambert Vandevander.

Varley was a 1968 graduate of Circleville High School.  He had worked at Inter-State Hardwoods, Dunham-Bush, 7-11/High's, Hanover Shoe Company, Wampler Foods, Dayton Walmart and was a brick layer.  He was a member of the Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church and a past member of the North Fork Church of the Brethren.  He had been a Sunday School teacher at both churches.

On December 24, 1971, he married Carolyn Sue Wimer Lambert, who survives.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Lambert, and his stepmother, Patsy Lambert.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM Thursday, September 8 at Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church at Hinton, where a memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM Thursday with Pastor Stacy Meyerhoeffer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Saturday, September 10 at North Fork Church of the Brethren at Cherry Grove (WV), where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Dan Arbogast officiating.

Inurnment will be at the Lambert Family Cemetery at a later date.
