Todd Eric Sparkman, 34, of Franklin, WV was tragically killed in an automobile accident, while on his way home from work on Thursday evening, April 6, 2017 on Rt. 33, west of Rawley Springs.

He was born May 18, 1982 in Baltimore, MD and was the son of Terry Wayne Sparkman of Statesville, NC and Lisa Muller Reed of Thurmont, MD.

A 2000 graduate of Catoctin High School in Thurmont, MD, he was employed as a plumber's assistant with Riddleberger Brothers in Mt. Crawford, VA.  An avid hunter and fisherman, he had a passion for the great outdoors, especially West Virginia, where he had moved and planned to spend the rest of his life.  He loved his rabbit beagles more than he loved himself.  Todd was the life of every party, and his smile would light up a room.  Along with his charm and personality, he was an exceptional worker.  He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  He loved, and just like his father, was a natural at operating heavy equipment.  His main goal in life was simply to make his family proud.  Todd loved seafood, especially his Maryland blue crabs.  He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and couldn't live without his Marlboro Reds.  He enjoyed all types of music, especially old country like Cash and Jones, and always said he was the man in black.  Todd enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his fiancée, who helped shape him into the great man that he was.  He dearly loved all children, especially his nephews, whom he thought the world and all of.  He also looked forward to spending time on the weekends with his godchildren, and was especially excited about welcoming his first niece into the world.

Todd will be missed by so many, and no words can describe what his family and friends are feeling and going through since the accident.  It is a comfort to know that he will now be reunited with his beloved dog, Sassi.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, West Virginia.  A celebration of Todd's life will begin at 7:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel.

Note :  Todd's paternal grandmother is terminally ill at this time, and her passing could change the date of Todd's service, so it is advised that you check the website or call a family member prior to arriving at the service.
