Teretha V. Thompson's Obituary
Teretha Virginia Thompson, 89, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at her home.
She was born February 22, 1926 in Franklin, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late John Warner and Mary Simmons Warner.
She was a 1945 graduate of Franklin High School, was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Brethren.
On October 21, 1946, she married Alston Hansel Thompson, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2012.
She is survived by –
One daughter –
Mary Radcliffe (& her husband, Bruce) of Dayton, VA
Two sons –
Gary A. Thompson (& his wife, Janie) of Fredericksburg, VA
Harry L. Vandevander (& his wife, Linda) of McGaheysville, VA
One brother –
Johnnie Warner (& his wife, Theda) of Fairmont, WV
And a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Valda Lee Witt.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating.
Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin.
