Susie Holloway, 81, of Upper Tract, WV passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at her home.

She was born March 27, 1936 at Dahmer, WV and was the daughter of the late Henry David Bowers and Flossie Irene Tuesing Bowers and was the granddaughter of the late Michael E. Bowers, 1st Lieutenant of the 25th Infantry Company K.

She had worked at Kile's Grocery, Dick's Restaurant, Dahmer's Restaurant, The Star Restaurant, Franklin Garment Company and Hanover Shoe Company.  She was a member of the Upper Tract United Methodist Church and the Upper Tract Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.

On February 23, 1954, Susie married James M. Holloway, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1979.

A son, David Holloway; three brothers, Dyer, Stover and Dolan Bowers, an infant brother and an infant sister, Beulah Bowers, also preceded her in death.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by –

One foster daughter –

Betty Simmons of Franklin, WV

Two sons –

Jimmie Holloway (& his wife, Bonnie) of Upper Tract, WV

Rickie Holloway (& his friend, Laura) of Petersburg, WV

Ten granddaughters -
Tina Holloway, Chanda Roberts, Traci Hiett, Haley Harper, Samantha Hewitt, Jamin White, Allison Keplinger, Ciera Holloway, Cara Holloway and Morgan Keplinger

Ten great-grandchildren -
Ryley Roberts, Dakota Roberts, Alyssa Roberts, Ethan Kile, Cohen Hiett, Cambri Hiett, Charli Hiett, Benson Harper, Peyton Hewitt and Hudson White

And a number of nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2017 in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating.

Interment will be in the Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, WV.
