Mr. Stephen L. Brown, 56, of Paw Paw, West Virginia, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at his home. He was born November 27, 1952 at Cumberland, MD and was the son of Alva "Bunk" Brown and Katherine Golliday Brown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and he served in the Army National Guard from 1976 - 1996. He had worked for Maaco Guardrail Company and National Fruit. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. On June 30, 1975, he married Ellen Sharp Brown, who survives. Also surviving are - Three daughters - Lisa (& husband,Dale)Gloyd of Great Cacapon, WV Stephanie (& husband, Dickie) Stotler of Berkeley Springs, WV Mary Jo (& husband, Keith) Sherman of Paw Paw, WV Five sisters - Darlene Kaylor of Paw Paw, WV Freda Brown of Paw Paw, WV Cheryl Hott of Paw Paw, WV Bonnie Dowell of Whitacre, VA Theresa Ours of Inwood, WV Four brothers - David Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC Wayne "Tutti" Brown of Paw Paw, WV Terry Brown of Paw Paw, WV Michael Brown of Paw Paw, WV And seven grandchildren - Austin Gloyd, Alex Gloyd, Daniel Myers, Levi Myers, Cody Stotler, Alisha Sherman, Kristopher Sherman He was preceded in death by one grandson - Keith Edward Sherman Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Dewayne Jensen and Barney Piper officiating. Burial will be at the Woodrow Cemetery at Paw Paw with military graveside services conducted by members of the American Legion Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard. Doug Athey, Scotty Brown, Larry Brown, Mike King, Tim Garcia and Jansen Hughes will serve as pallbearers.
