Stanley Propst, 85, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Karen Propst.

He was born March 12, 1939 at Moyers, West Virginia and was the son of the late Fred Leo Propst and Myrtle Lynn (Mitchell) Propst.

He attended Franklin High School and was a construction worker for Lockhart Construction in Akron, Ohio for thirty-five years.  He was a member of Franklin Moose Lodge #769.  He enjoyed woodworking, and always built a cedar chest for his grandchildren, daughters-in-law and nieces.

Sheldon Propst (Betty) of Bridgewater, VA

Eleven grandchildren

Six great-grandchildren

And several nieces and nephews

Preceding him in death were three sisters, Ida Mary Snyder, Velma Blondino and Marilyn Propst; five brothers, Charles Linaburg, Gene Rader, Arnold Propst, Jerry Propst and Harley Propst; and one grandson, Casey Kiser.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, July 29 at Kimble Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 30 in the funeral home chapel with Stanley's nephew, Pastor Jay Linaburg, officiating.

Interment will be at the Rexrode-Hoover Cemetery at Moyers.
