Dr. Stanley Ray Mallow, 93, of Upper Tract, WV passed away at his home on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

He was born June 26, 1923 at Kline, WV and was the son of the late Olin Ray Mallow and Sarah Riggleman Mallow.

Dr. Mallow graduated from Franklin High School in 1942, and attended Potomac State College.  He graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1951, and had a general dental practice in Riviera Beach, Maryland for 27 years.  Dr. Mallow married Anne Dolores Larrauri on May 26, 1951 and together they raised five children.

Dr. Mallow served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen, Maryland.

In 1977, he moved to Upper Tract, WV where he opened a dental clinic and practiced dentistry for another 38 years, serving his communities for a total of 65 years.

Stanley enjoyed farming his entire life, and continued to farm and raise cattle until his death.  He was awarded the Soil Conservation Award from the State of West Virginia in 1977.

He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

After 65 years of marriage, Anne Dolores preceded Stanley in death on December 19, 2016.

Morris Mallow (& Sue) of Upper Tract, WV

Five grandchildren –

Anne Marie Mallow, Sarah Mallow, Christopher Mallow, Michael Collins and Laura Collins

Four nephews and two nieces

He was preceded in death by one brother, John Mallow, and two sisters, Elaine V. Mallow and Anna M. Mallow.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 7 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 8 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mario Claro officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:15 PM Thursday, June 8 at Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract with members of the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard conducting a military service at the cemetery.

Christopher Mallow, Brian Sager, Justin Whetzel, Phillip Mallow, Trevor Whetzel and Stanley Simmons will serve as his pallbearers.

A meal to celebrate Dr. Mallow's life will follow at the Ruritan Center at Upper Tract.
