Sidney Juanita (Roberts) Miller, 85, of Franklin, WV, passed peacefully at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV on Monday, April 20, 2015. She was born January 14, 1930 in Minnesota, and was the daughter of the late Eddie Roberts and Louise Gardner Roberts. Sidney was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Miller, Jr., whom she married in Nebraska on December 30, 1948. A sister and two children, Michael Elliot Miller and Patricia Eileen Ibarra also preceded her in death. She worked most of her adult life at Providence Hospital in Oakland, CA as a secretary. She retired from there and moved to West Virginia for a slower paced life. Sidney was a wonderful cook and loved having the family together for holidays and birthday parties. She loved people in general, and that is why she loved to mingle with the guests on a daily basis at The Star Hotel Restaurant in Franklin. Sidney loved and lived life to the fullest. She will be truly missed so much by her family and all the wonderful friends she made over the years. She is survived by - Two daughters - Barbara Ann Miller of Franklin, WV Linda Jean Carnes and husband, Russ of Colfax, CA Two sons - Russell Edwin Miller, III and wife, Diane of Cross Plains, Texas Stephen Eric Miller and wife, Angela of Franklin, WV Nine grandchildren - Ronald Warren Griest and wife, Valleri Stephen Eric Miller II Jeremy Ryan Miller Felicia Dawn Miller Mary Kate Miller Emily Ann Ibarra and fiancé, Ryan Silva Jessica Elise Covert and husband, Mike Melissa Adele Owen and husband, Scott Justin Andrew Donaldson Seven great-grandchildren - Ronald Warren Griest II Coleson Eric Miller Nathaniel Andrew Owen Aidan Cody Owen Peyton Marie Owen Elias Eugene Covert Isaac Andrew Covert Her body was cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later time.
