Shirley Pitsenbarger Rexrode, 97, of Brandywine, WV died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. She was born May 18, 1914 at Brandywine, WV and was the daughter of the late Martin Frank Propst and Julia Ann Dickenson Propst. She was a homemaker and had been assistant postmistress at Ft. Seybert. Shirley was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Ft. Seybert Extension Homemakers Club, V.F.W. Post #966 Ladies Auxiliary and was the 1986 Pendleton County Belle. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Everett Russell Pitsenbarger on November 5, 1953 and by her second husband, Noah Rexrode on August 21, 1976. Also preceding her in death were one son, James Russell Pitsenbarger, two stepsons, Frederick Rexrode and Marvin Rexrode, one stepdaughter, Mary Belle Dove, two brothers, Tyson Propst and Stanley Propst and two sisters, Helen Lough and Delsie Mitchell. She is survived by - One son - Gerald O. Pitsenbarger of Brandywine, WV One stepson - Norman Rexrode of Summersville, WV One sister - Irene Stone of Harrisonburg, VA One granddaughter - Paula Simmons of Monterey, VA Eleven step-grandchildren Eleven step-great-grandchildren Seven step-great-great-grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, WV with Pastor Calvin Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery at Brandywine, WV. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27 at Kimble Funeral Home.
