A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Paw Paw Church of Christ with Evangelist Richard White officiating.  Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Shirley L. Herrell, 81, of Paw Paw, WV passed from this life on Friday, December 4, 2020 at UPMC in Cumberland, MD.

She was born August 31, 1937 at Cumberland, MD and was the daughter of the late Jasper Frederick Flora and Helen Chaney Flora.

Shirley graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1957 and worked as a secretary for Avon Products.  She was later employed as the first secretary for the Town of Paw Paw until 1972, when she became an office clerk with Vesuvius Crucible.  In 1987, she began a 13 year career as a bank teller at the Paw Paw branch of BB&T Bank until retiring in 2000.  She was a kind and caring person and a member of the Paw Paw Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

On August 27, 1960, she married Louis Edward Herrell who preceded her in death on January 8, 2018.
