Shirley Maxine Crane Campbell, 80, of Paw Paw, West Virginia passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Western Maryland Regional Health Center in Cumberland, Maryland.

Born October 31, 1935 in Picardy, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Michael Joseph Crane and Marjorie Hartman Crane.

Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Oldtown High School.  She worked for Consolidated Orchard Company, 7-Eleven Convenience Stores and the Paw Paw Senior Center.  She was a member of the Paw Paw Church of Christ, Red Hatters Club, American Legion Auxiliary and Paw Paw Homemakers Club.

Shirley enjoyed baking, taking care of her beautiful flowers and sitting on the back porch watching her hummingbirds.  Christmas and snowstorms were always a bright spot in her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Harold "Wimp" Campbell on November 3, 1992.  Three brothers, William "Sonny" Crane and wife, Evelyn, Floyd Crane, John Crane, and two sisters, Mary Crane Dean and her husband Bill, Baby Ruth Crane, two brothers-in-law, Glenn Rice and Glenn "Spinny" Kidwell and her grandson, Timothy Adam Campbell also preceded her in death.

Merri Alice McIntyre and husband, Rick of Charles Town, WV

Two sisters –

Julia "Judy" Rice of Berkeley Springs, WV

Ida Mae Kidwell of Paw Paw, WV

Thirteen grandchildren

Twenty-four great-grandchildren

And numerous nieces and nephews.

She will also be missed by her companion of the last 20 years, John "Herman" Kammauff and their kitty "Buddy".

Shirley also leaves behind her dear and faithful friends, Boozer and Freda Kerns, Eula Myers and Geraldine Moser.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, May 8, 2016 at  Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, WV.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at the Paw Paw Church of Christ with Eldridge Kerns and Evangelist Richard White officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

Interment will be at Camp Hill Cemetery, Paw Paw.
