Shania Lynn Vandevander, 11, of Elkins, West Virginia passed away at her home on Monday evening, August 24, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born August 23, 2004 and was the daughter of Harold J. Vandevander, Jr. and Tia Tucker Vandevander, both of Elkins. Shania was a student at Midland Elementary School in Elkins. She loved her baby dolls, Barbie dolls and puppy dogs. In addition to her parents, she is survived by - Paternal grandparents - Harold and Linda Arbaugh Vandevander of Circleville, WV Maternal grandmother - Betty Tucker of Waiteville, WV Paternal great-grandmother - Floda Vandevander of Circleville, WV Six sisters - Sylvia Hamilton of Circleville, WV Michelle Taylor, Tiffany Vandevander, Cynthia Vandevander, Nia Vandevander and Mya Vandevander all of Elkins Three brothers - Harold Vandevander III, Shane Vandevander and Buck Vandevander all of Elkins Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 27 in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastors William Byron Kittle and Clarence Creer officiating. Interment will be at the Vandevander Family Cemetery near Cherry Grove. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 26 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
