Ruth Moyers Scott's Obituary
Ruth Marie Scott, 80, of Franklin, West Virginia, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Hospice of the Piedmont's Center for Acute Hospice Care in Charlottesville, Virginia.
She was born August 10, 1935 in Franklin, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late James Edward "Jimmie" Moyers and Cleo Virginia Johnston Moyers.
A 1953 graduate of Franklin High School, Ruth had worked as a legal secretary for Sponaugle & Bowers, and retired after working as a secretary for the Pendleton County Commission.
She was a member of the Smith Creek Church of the Brethren, the Franklin Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and attended the Franklin Presbyterian Church Ladies Friendship Circle meetings.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, Walton Shrader and Edward Charles Scott, a son, Charles Edward Scott II and a half-brother, Bruce Moyers.

Lisa Van Diest & Dave of Rice, MN
A daughter-in-law –
Connie Hartman & Teddy of Franklin, WV
Three grandchildren
And four great-grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where a funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday with Pastor Thomas Hanks officiating.
Inurnment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont's Center for Acute Hospice Care, 2965 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903-9301 or PAWS, P. O. Box 804, Franklin, WV 26807.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin with Pastor Thomas Hanks officiating.
