Ruby Elaine Skiles, 83, of Franklin, WV passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born August 22, 1935 at Franklin and was the daughter of the late Roy Elwood Bowers and Virginia Dare Bible Bowers.

A 1955 graduate of Franklin High School, she had worked at Franklin Garment Company and Pendleton Manor and retired from Hanover Shoe Company.  Ruby was a member of the Friends Run Church of the Brethren.

On December 25, 1954 she married William E. "Bill" Skiles, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1990.

Linda Kay Rowe (& husband, Bill) of Rockville, MD

Jerri Lou Ruppert (& husband, Charles III) of Lanham, MD

Diana Pinson (& husband, Weyman) of Albany, GA

Three brothers –

James Earl Bowers (& wife, Ruth Ann) of Fredericksburg, VA

William Eugene "Buck" Bowers (& wife, Lois) of St. Peters, MO

Martin "Marty" Bowers (& wife, Gail) of Franklin, WV

And two granddaughters –

Misty Skiles of Dover, DE
and Miranda Skiles of Franklin, WV

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, WV where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 26 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Thomas Hanks officiating.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
