Mr. Roy Steven "Steve" Mitchell, 62, of Franklin, West Virginia died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the home of his mother. He was born November 8, 1951 at Harrisonburg, Virginia and was the son of Mary Kathleen "Kate" Mitchell of Franklin and the late Roy Abraham Mitchell. He had worked at Dunham-Bush and was a stone mason. Surviving in addition to his mother are - His former wives - Cheryl Ludholtz and Vicki Hartman Two daughters - Brittany (& husband, Richard) Anderson of Staunton, VA Bethany Mitchell (& Ricky Dixon) of Staunton, VA Wendy (& Stacy) Stagner of Mt. Solon, VA Three sons - Michael Steven (& wife, Joell) Mitchell of Lacey Spring, VA Ryan (& wife, Kim) Mitchell of Mt. Sidney, VA T.J. (& wife, Megan) Mitchell of Staunton, VA Two sisters - Delores Jean "Dimp" Lam of Franklin, WV Doreen Faye (& husband, Pete) Turner of Port Republic, VA Nine grandchildren - Reagan and Luke Anderson, Allison Dixon, Savana and Joshua Stagner, Taylor and Colin Mitchell, Tye and Hayleigh Mitchell A number of nieces and nephews And a host of friends He was preceded in death by one brother, George Kevin Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 6 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Bishop Jay Hartman, Elder David Hartman and Elder Richard Warner officiating. Burial will be in the Propst Family Cemetery at Franklin. Daniel Boone, Teddy Hartman, Billy Rowe, Curt Mitchell, Tom Mitchell and Charles Mitchell will serve as his pallbearers. Ryan Mitchell, T.J. Mitchell, Shannon Hensley, Mike Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell and L.B. Foley will be honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday, July 5 at Kimble Funeral Home.
