Mr. Rodney B. Judy, 86, of Upper Tract, West Virginia passed away Saturday afternoon, March 22, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born June 5, 1927 in Smoke Hole, West Virginia and was the son of the late Mason Miller and Orpha Shreve. Rodney was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 132 and a member of American Legion Post #78 of Petersburg. He attended Upper Tract United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography and spending time with family, friends and his dog "Hot Dog". He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lucille Adamson Judy. Also surviving are - Two sons - Kenneth B. Judy of Upper Tract, WV Danny R. Judy and wife, Nicole of Harrisonburg, VA One daughter - Janet D. Watts and husband, Christopher of Maysville, WV Two sisters - Goldie Judy Kimble of Ripley, WV Jenny Statts of Petersburg, WV Two brothers - Don Miller of Petersburg, WV Sheldon Miller of Petersburg, WV Five grandchildren - Danny Judy, Jr. Gina Armentrout Colton Watts Brison Judy Zane Watts Two great-grandchildren - Kennedy Armentrout and Carter Armentrout And numerous nieces and nephews Rodney was preceded in death by twin sisters, Vada Shreve and Verda Conrad and one brother, Denver Judy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Rev. Leon Hevener and Pastor Greg Adamson officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, WV with military graveside services conducted by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Kimble Funeral Home.
