Rodney B. Hedrick, 64, of Upper Tract, WV passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his farm.

He was born July 14, 1956 at Petersburg, WV and was the son of the late Arlin Stanley Hedrick and Catherine Smith Hedrick.

A 1975 graduate of Franklin High School, Rodney was a hard worker and spent 33 years as a poultry farmer.  He was a retired school bus driver for Pendleton County Schools, a member of the Franklin Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and a member of the Virginia Poultry Growers Co-op.  He was an avid hunter, gardener and Bible student.  He passed his love of hunting on to many that he met.  Rodney enjoyed gardening almost as much and enjoyed generously sharing the produce with others.  He loved talking about the Bible and sharing with anyone who would listen the hope that he found in its pages.

On February 2, 1980, he married Edith Lynn Funk Hedrick, who survives.

Susie Harold (Paul) of Petersburg, WV

Four brothers -

Roger Hedrick (Kim) of Harrisonburg, VA

David Hedrick (Wanda) of Upper Tract, WV

Gary Hedrick (Bernice) of Petersburg, WV

Donald Hedrick (Christena) of Timberville, VA

And six grandchildren -

Dakota and Taya Swick, Jager and Aleah Judy, Zoe and Zane Dodson

Rodney will also be greatly missed by his numerous beloved nieces and nephews and good friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Hedrick.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2020 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.  Everyone should wear a face covering and allow for appropriate social distancing.

A memorial service will be held via Zoom 3:00pm - Sunday, November 8th, 2020
