Mr. Robert Keller, 66, of Marlinton, West Virginia died suddenly at his home early Saturday morning, February 25. Bob was born October 1, 1945 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late Cecil and Mary Lou Marchand Keller. He grew up in Bellaire, Ohio. Bob graduated from The Ohio State University and received his master's degree from WVU in agriculture. Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia Ravenscroft Keller and two daughters: Katie Keller Barrie and her husband, Eric and son, Jackson and Mollie Kristine Keller Korona and her husband, Justin and son, Logan. Two sisters survive him: Barbara Keller Frische and husband, Rob Judi Keller Blanton, husband, Ken and son, Eric Marling He is survived by many sister- and brothers-in-law in Pat's family, as well as thirty-seven nieces, nephews and their spouses, along with numerous grand nieces and nephews. Bob delighted in having two grandsons and kept a running account of little Jackson's progress. While in the Army, Bob served in Vietnam, where he earned the Bronze Star. Following his service, he moved to Pocahontas County, where he was the WVU Extension Agent for twenty-five years. Following his retirement, Bob was a substitute teacher and a partner in Pocahontas Fish and Game Adventures fishing resort. Bob was manager of Pocahontas County Country Club, the position he held from 2008 to the present. He loved a challenging job and did each job with great enthusiasm and success. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 29 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton, WV. On Thursday, March 1, there will be a visitation at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM when the service will commence. Rev. David Rittenhouse will officiate and military honors will be accorded by members of the Keyser American Legion, of which he was a member. There will be no graveside service as Bob was cremated and his cremains will be later joined to the earth at locations special to his life.
