Rita June Felton, 81, of Dailey, WV was at her home surrounded by her family, when she passed peacefully from this life to her heavenly home, on Sunday morning, July 31, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was a Christmas baby, born December 26, 1934 to Burton and Ethel Canfield Murphy of Clemtown, who preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death were two infant brothers.

On May 27, 1950, she married the love of her life, Samuel (Mark) Felton Sr., who preceded her in death July 29, 2004. They were married over 54 years at his passing. She is survived by her two sons, Sam, and his wife, Nicki of Marlinton and Steve, and his wife, Darlene of Mill Creek.

Also, surviving is her only sister, Genevieve Ball of Clemtown, five grandchildren, Michelle "Micky" Messer of Elkins, Donna Corley of Belington, Rusty Felton and wife, Patty of Marlinton, Curtiss Felton of Marlinton, and Scott Felton of Mill Creek; seven great-grandchildren, Tessa Murphy, Shae Dadisman, Wesley Felton, Shannen McClure, Rachel Felton, Adley Felton and Zeb Felton; and two great-great grandchildren, Nevaeh Cooper, and Kaiden Tingler.

She was affectionately known as "Mama June" to all her family and friends.  She was an epitome of what a Christian is.

She was a homemaker and very active in her church serving as Secretary and Treasurer for the Mill Creek United Methodist Women.  She also volunteered at Tyrand Parish Ministries for several years and worked at the Mill Creek Nutrition site as well.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be at the Mill Creek United Methodist Church in Mill Creek Tuesday, August 2. Family and friends will be received from 6-8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at the Mill Creek United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 3 at 1 pm with Reverend Pam Ritchie and Sam Felton officiating.

Interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman. Pallbearers will be Sam Felton, Steve Felton, Rusty Felton, Curt Felton, Scott Felton and Wesley Felton.
