Richard Lee Fishel, Sr., 59, of Paw Paw, WV passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at his home.

He was born December 6, 1960 at Winchester, Virginia and was the son of the late Ray Johnson Fishel and Ruby Madeline Miller Fishel.

He was a graduate of Paw Paw High School, where he is remembered as being an excellent player on the basketball team.  He worked as a block mason. Richard loved the water and the beach, and had recently enjoyed taking a cruise.  He was very proud of his family, and treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Vanessa Garrett (& husband, Logan) of Capon Bridge, WV

Holly Nicole Fishel (& fiancee, Don Smith) of Cumberland, MD

One son –

Richard Lee Fishel, Jr. of Paw Paw

One brother –

Randy Fishel (& wife, Mitsi) of Paw Paw

And five grandchildren –

Savannah Garrett, Mason Fishel, Scarlet Garrett, Aubrie Covalt and Don Smith II

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, where a funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Earl Travis on Thursday, February 20 at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at Woodrow Cemetery.
