Ray Shockey, 72, of Brandywine, West Virginia passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at the home of his sister-in-law, Joyce Shockey.

He was born May 14, 1944 in Old Fields, WV and was the son of the late George Edward Shockey and Louise Catherine McDonald Shockey.

He had worked at Dunham-Bush and on Buck Joseph's farm.

He is survived by –

Three brothers –

George Robert Shockey (& wife, Maude) of Old Fields, WV

Roger Allen Shockey of Old Fields, WV

Wayne Price Shockey (& wife, Jean) of Old Fields, WV

Two sisters –

Mary Jane Bolton (& husband, Paul, Jr.) of Brandywine, WV

Betty Irene May (& husband, Garland) of Sugar Grove, WV

Two sisters-in-law –

Nancy Shockey and Joyce Shockey

A brother-in-law –

Paul Bolton, Sr.

And a number of nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by two brothers – Alvin Eugene Shockey and Paul Junior Shockey and two sisters – Goldy Mae Bolton and Dorothy Ann Vandevander.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where Preacher Larry Danner will conduct a funeral at 2:00 PM on Tuesday.
