Mr. Ray Odwith Lambert, 79, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was born December 11, 1932 at Keyser, West Virginia and was the son of the late Odwith Canter Lambert and Alice Catherine Harper Lambert. Ray was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years. A 1952 graduate of Franklin High School, he had worked at the Parts Counter for both Sites Chevrolet and Glover's Auto, worked in bookkeeping at Pendleton County Bank, was a custodian with the Pendleton County School System and was an independent truck driver. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He is survived by - Three daughters - Barbara (& her husband, Cody) Hedrick of Franklin, WV Emily (& her husband, Brad) Hartman of Brandywine, WV Carolyn (& her husband, Brian) Smith of Harrisonburg, VA Two sons - Ray O. Lambert, Jr. of Nashville, TN William C. Lambert of Seaford, DE One brother - Giffin (& his wife, Brenda) Lambert of Franklin, WV Eight grandchildren - Candace Carrier, Amanda Curry, Ray O. Lambert, III, William C. Lambert, Jr., Kristen Hedrick, Aaron Hedrick, Courtney Hartman and Catherine Smith Two great-grandsons - Aiden Carrier and Miles Carrier Four step-grandsons - Hunter Smith, Tanner Smith, Matthew Irwin and James Irwin He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Adrianne Lambert. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, West Virginia with Bishop Jay Hartman, Elder David Hartman and Elder Richard Warner officiating. Burial will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin with military graveside services conducted by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin after 8:00 AM Friday, November 2. The family will receive friends at Kimble Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday.
