Mr. Ralph William Powers, 70, of Slanesville, West Virginia died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his home. He was born August 23, 1939 at Paw Paw, WV and was the son of the late Harold W. Powers and Frances Manning Powers. He was a boiler maker with Local #193 and attended Bethel United Methodist Church. He is survived by - Four daughters - Vickie Black of Saxton, PA Angie Becker of Hagerstown, MD Karen Sue Powers of Dudley, PA Kathy Luke of Claysburg, PA One sister - Carolyn L. Covey of Paw Paw, WV Two brothers - Edward T. Powers of Ridgeley, WV Lewis K. Powers of Paw Paw, WV Nine grandchildren Five great-grandchildren And a special friend - Bonnie Will He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Powers; a daughter, Kimberly Miller and a brother, Brownie Powers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the Bethel United Methodist Church near Paw Paw, WV with Pastor Harold George and Josh Miller officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. Matthew Powers, Rylan Powers, Marty Powers, Louie Powers, Eddie Powers and Johnny Ott will serve as his pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Sunday.
