Rachael Louise VanMeter, 34, of Timberville, VA and formerly of Upper Tract, WV passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA.

She was born January 21, 1987 at Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late John Henry VanMeter and Sandra Dale (Poole) VanMeter.

Rachael was a 2005 graduate of Pendleton County High School and worked as a customer service rep at the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA.  She attended Onego Bible Missionary Church and had a passion for animals.

Ronald Thompson, Jr.

And her fur babies –

Chrissie, Lightning, Momma and Cayenne

Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
