Lucy Pauline Waggy, 97, of Reeds Creek, Franklin, West Virginia passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at the home of her son.

She was born April 15, 1925 at Upper Tract, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late John and Fannie Hedrick.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Waggy was a 1945 graduate of Franklin High School.  On June 29, 1946, she married Carson E. Waggy, who preceded her in death on May 17, 1999.  She was a homemaker and was a member of the Reeds Creek United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for 49 years.  Pauline's trademark in life was her boundless cheerfulness and the ability to make friends wherever she went.  She loved people.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Brandon Waggy and Edward Waggy;  one step-grandson; six sisters, Ina Hartman, Icie Clark, Eula Kimble, Nellie Galippo, Mary Thompson and Madeline Whitecotton and two brothers, Alton Hedrick and John Hedrick.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM Sunday, December 11 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Webb officiating.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
