Mrs. Nellie Marie Calhoun, 92, of Upper Tract, West Virginia, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, West Virginia. She had been a resident of the Grant County Nursing Home for the past year. She was born April 6, 1918 at Kline, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late James Oscar Armentrout and Phoebe Jane Greenawalt Armentrout. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. On October 30, 1937, she married Otha Carl Calhoun, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1992. She is survived by - Four sons - Lynwood (& Lucy) Calhoun of Upper Tract, WV Jackie (& Ann) Calhoun of La Plata, MD Styrl (& Evelyn) Calhoun of Upper Tract, WV Tony Calhoun of Upper Tract, WV Three daughters - Pat (& Warren) Harman of Harrisonburg, VA Noreen (& Roger)Alt of Petersburg, WV Judith (& John) Vandevander of Upper Tract, WV Two sisters - Macie Mitchell of Upper Tract, WV Violet Hevener of Upper Tract, WV One daughter-in-law- Violet Calhoun of Mt. Crawford, VA Seventeen grandchildren Eighteen great-grandchildren Three great-great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Calhoun; one daughter, Carolyn Hammer; three brothers, Raymond Armentrout, Richard Armentrout, Carroll Dahmer and three sisters, Leota Kesner, Freda Harman and Arbelia Calhoun. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church at Upper Tract, WV with Pastor Glen Hamric officiating. Burial will be at Kline Cemetery. Her grandsons, Timothy Whetzel, Dewayne Borror, Derrick Calhoun, Jeff Calhoun, Chris Harman and Jeremy Harman will serve as her pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. Memorials may be made to the Mt.
