Fannie Naomi Brandli, 77, formerly of Franklin and Fairmont, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Brookdale in Staunton, VA. She was born on December 11, 1937 in Franklin, WV, and was the eldest child of the late Lee and Rhea Sponaugle Simmons of Smith Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Willard "Bill" Brandli on December 30, 2003. Surviving are - One daughter - Jody Fultz and her husband, Danny of Stuarts Draft, VA One son - Greg Dyer and fiancée Toniue Neely of Ft. Seybert, WV Their father - David Dyer of Ft. Seybert, WV One grandson - Dustin Dyer of Moorefield, WV Two brothers - Lee Grail Simmons and his wife, Jean of Lyndhurst, VA Jerry Simmons and his wife, Evelyn of Abingdon, VA Three stepchildren - Deborah Gattian, Mark and Lynn Brandli and Billinda Brandli-DeVillez And numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren Naomi retired from Alcan Aluminum, where she was a secretary for many years, and still kept in touch with many of her retired co-workers through their monthly retirees' luncheon until she moved to Virginia. She was a lifelong member of the Smith Creek Church of the Brethren and after she moved to Fairmont, the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church. She always went back to her home church whenever she was in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the Chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Hanks officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin. Memorials may be made to Smith Creek Church of the Brethren or Valley Chapel United Methodist Church.
