Myrtle Ruth (Warner) Thompson, 97, of Franklin, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born January 30, 1921 at Dry Run, WV and was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary Kate (Nelson) Warner.

Mrs. Thompson was a 1937 graduate of Circleville High School, had worked at Gateway Restaurant for three years, at Franklin Garment Company for three years and retired from Hanover Shoe Company after twenty years. She was Vice-President of Thompson Trucking in Winchester, VA, and was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church, where she was treasurer of her womens' friendship circle.  She enjoyed her monthly circle meetings, tending to her flowers, sewing, quilting and most of all, spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Olin Thompson on December 29, 1980; a son, Kenneth Thompson on March 13, 1979; three brothers, Julian, Russell and Nelson Warner; four sisters, Mildred Colaw, Lucille Warner, Thelma Lambert and Leslie Warner (an infant sister); and a son-in-law, Bobbie L. Raines.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, WV.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 9 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Hand and Pastor Mike Lambert officiating.

Interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton, WV.
