Michael H. "Mike" Pyne, 51, of Marlinton, WV passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long struggle with cancer.

Born June 13, 1964 in Framingham, Massachusetts, he was the son of Francis J. Pyne and Phyllis Burr Pyne of Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

He grew up in Hopkinton, and worked in the construction industry before moving to West Virginia.

Mike was a maintenance worker at Watoga State Park for more than 20 years and was Protestant by faith.  He was very proud of his small farm and loved living on Beaver Creek.

Surviving in addition to his parents are –

One daughter – Kelly Pyne of Marlinton, WV

One son – Jacob Pyne of Marlinton, WV

One brother – Kevin Pyne (& his wife, Ellie) of Uxbridge, MA

And many aunts, uncles and cousins

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorials be made to the Pocahontas Archery Team, 926 5th Avenue, Marlinton, WV  24954 or to any local community group.
