Mary F. McCarty, 80, of Marlinton, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

She was born August 19, 1945 in Marlinton, and was the daughter of the late Arthur Sharp and Icie Mae McLaughlin Sharp.

She was a homemaker, a CNA and had worked in a Rite-Aid warehouse.  She attended Trinity Baptist Church in Buckeye.

Her husband, Phillip Wayne McCarty, preceded her in death on October 29, 2001.

Goldie Castillo (Rudy) of Marlinton

Five grandchildren -

Richelle Ann McCarty, Roslynn Nichole McCarty, Richard "RJ" Allen McCarty II, Patrick Lynn Trainer and Arielle Danielle Bennett

Five great-grandchildren -

Caiden Scott Halterman, Kylie Nichole Halterman, Kiera Lynn Halterman, Kyler Lane Pritt and Layne Michael McCarty

And her companion -

Pat Vandevander

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 23 at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 24 with Pastor John Paul Burk officiating.

Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Frost.
