Mary Lou Hook, 87, of Leesburg, VA passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Berkeley Springs Center in Berkeley Springs, WV.

She was born June 26, 1932 at Paw Paw and was the daughter of the late Lloyd Hardy and Odessa Santymire Hardy.

Mary Lou was a 1951 graduate of Paw Paw High School, had worked as a newspaper secretary in Leesburg, as a cook at Leesburg Elementary School, retired from working as a secretary for Travelers Insurance Company and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church.

On November 11, 1952, she married Gene Hook, who preceded her in death on October 10, 2007.  She was also predeceased by a son, Todd Hook.

Six grandchildren -

Jason Herndon, Jennifer Herndon, Steven Chapman, Catharine Woodward, Sarah Manning and Rebecca Hook

Eight great-grandchildren -

Darius Hook, Tristan Hook, Alexis Woodward, Nick Longerbeam, Jayson Herndon, Cody Foster, Casyn Kaes and Michael Chapman

Two nieces -

And three nephews -

Billy, Mike and Mark

The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 11:45 AM Saturday, March 21 at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday at Woodrow Cemetery, Paw Paw with Pastor Earl Travis officiating.
