Mary Elaine Harper Cody, 82, of Murrieta, CA passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Rancho Springs Hospital.

She was born March 22, 1939 at Cave, WV and was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Bessie Mowery Harper of Franklin.

She attended Franklin High School and in 1961, married Larry Fulk.  As Larry was in the U.S. Navy, they traveled wherever he was stationed and then settled in San Diego, CA.  In 1973, she married Dwight Cody.

For the past 29 years, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law who were always available to help her live life to the fullest.  She enjoyed being with family.  Mary Elaine will be remembered as someone who liked to entertain and play games with all the little children.  She was a very giving and loving "grandma" to all who came to visit.

A brother, Woodrow Harper, preceded her in death.

At her request, her body has been cremated and her ashes will be scattered on a mountaintop, as she never lost her love for the West Virginia mountains.
