Mrs. Mary H. Alexander, 73, of Upper Tract, West Virginia, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1935 in the Reddes River Community of Wilkes County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Jim Holloway and Eula Staley Holloway. She was a homemaker and a member of the South Mill Creek Church of the Brethren. On June 9, 1952, she married Connie Alexander, who preceded her in death on May 12, 1997. She is survived by three sons - Ronnie Alexander of Upper Tract, WV; Joseph Alexander of Hendersonville, TN; Robert Alexander of Franklin, WV; one sister - Nancy Hall of North Wilkesboro, NC; one brother - James Holloway of North Wilkesboro, NC; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the South Mill Creek Church of the Brethren at Upper Tract, WV with Pastors Randy Ours and Otis "Buzz" Weatherholt officiating. Burial will be at the Alexander Family Cemetery at Upper Tract. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, West Virginia.
