Mary Ruth Armentrout, 82, of Franklin, WV passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin with her family by her side.

She was born March 12, 1938 at Brady Hollow in Fort Seybert, WV and was the daughter of the late Mervin Lamb and Janie Pitsenbarger Lamb.

Mary had worked at Hanover Shoe Company and as a waitress in Lorton, VA.  She enjoyed bird watching and tv westerns.  She was Methodist by faith and had attended the Franklin Church of God.

On January 29, 1981, she married Johnny W. Armentrout, who preceded her in death on November 14, 2003. Four brothers, Stan Lamb, Herbert Ruddle, Edwin Ruddle and Carroll Ruddle and two sisters, Sylvia Gae Neil and Martha Sue Ruddle also predeceased her.

Six grandchildren –

Bobbie Armstrong, Melissa Tipton, Eric Puffenbarger, Sarah Michael, Brian Puffenbarger and Tiffany Bitzer

Three step-grandchildren –

Amy Whetzel, Anna Whetzel and Logan Whetzel

Twelve great-grandchildren –

Kinsley, Connor, Dakota, Cheyanne, Dylan, Dwayne, Brendon, Kamiron, Jacob, Jaxson, Logan and Noah

And several nieces and nephews

Due to COVID-19, the family will commemorate her life privately with a graveside service and interment at Oaklawn Cemetery near Franklin with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating.

Michael Bitzer, Robert Bitzer, Christine Huffman, Roy Ellinger, Tracy Armstrong and Colton Shipp will serve as her pallbearers.
