Mr. Marshall David Hammer, 24, of Franklin, WV passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at UVA in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Born September 19, 1995 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, he was the son of Michael Reed Hammer (& Marie Wilson) and Melinda Kay Warner (& Chris) of Franklin.

He was a 2013 graduate of Franklin High School, was an electrician and worked at Rocky Knob Tree Farm.  Marshall was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church and Franklin Moose Lodge #769, and enjoyed skateboarding and hunting.

Paternal grandparents –

Helen Keller (& Ed) of Franklin

Two brothers –

Marcus Hammer and Merrick Hammer of Franklin

Miranda Councill (& Mark) of New Market, VA

Three nieces and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins

And his companion, Trish May

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Friday, November 29, 2019 at Cedar Mountain Services, 163 Shindig Hill Lane, Franklin where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday with Mike Blankenship officiating.

Interment will be at the Olin R. Hammer Family Cemetery.
