Margaret V. "Maggie" Simmons, 88, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin. She was born September 23, 1924 in Richmond, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Maldon Duncan and Mary Virginia Woolridge. She had worked as a meat cutter and had attended Franklin Presbyterian Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, Harlan Lee Simmons on December 19, 2012; a son, James Springer; a grandson, Trey Springer; and two brothers, George Duncan and Ernie Duncan. Surviving are - Three sons - Richard (& his wife, Ann) Springer of Fruitland Park, FL Robert (& his wife, Bobbie) Springer of Adelphi, MD Les (& his wife, Brenda) Springer of Chesapeake, VA Two sisters - Barbara Ann Simms Ross of White Plains, MD Dorothy Scoglio of Gainesville, FL One brother - Mal Duncan of Melbourne, FL Twelve grandchildren Nineteen great-grandchildren And a number of nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2013 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, West Virginia. A Celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 PM Friday at the Kimble Funeral Home with Rev. Seminarian Jean Caudill officiating. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Seminarian Jean Caudill officiating.
