Mabel Alice Cayton, 89, of Franklin, WV died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was born December 31, 1920 at Propst Gap, Franklin, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Charlie Propst and Maggie Whetzel Propst. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, flowers and bingo. On November 27, 1941, she married Curtis Cayton, who preceded her in death on August 4, 1990. She is survived by - One daughter - E. Pearl (& Donald) Thompson of Timberville, VA One granddaughter whom she raised - Debra Cayton (& Lester Propst) of Franklin, WV Two sons - William C. (& Mildred) Cayton of Franklin, WV Cecil J. (& Judy) Cayton of Avon Park, FL One sister - Edith Stone of Franklin, WV Four brothers - Carroll (& Betty) Propst of Harrisonburg, VA Ira (& Ruby) Propst of Franklin, WV Jimmie (& Ruth) Propst of Hinton, VA Billy (& Elaine) Propst of Raven, VA Seven grandchildren Four great-grandchildren One great-great-granddaughter Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church in Franklin with Pastors Craig & Wendy Richter officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday, October 23 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
