Mr. Luther P. Hartman, 67, of the Smith Creek community, Franklin, West Virginia passed away Monday at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. Born September 26, 1946 at Smith Creek, Franklin, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Robert P. Hartman and Ella C. Lambert Hartman. Luther worked as a driller and blaster for Aaron & J Conners Construction for 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Smith Creek Church of the Brethren. He is survived by - His companion of 17 years - Anna Hartman of Franklin, WV Two sisters - Diana Waybright (& her husband, Jimmy) of Franklin, WV Christene Bowers (& her husband, Ronnie) of Sugar Grove, WV Four brothers - William Hartman (& his wife, Retha) of Tennessee Danny Hartman of Franklin, WV David Hartman (& his wife, Debbie) of Franklin, WV Henry Hartman (& his wife, Dawn) of Grottoes, VA And a number of nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by two brothers - Bobby Hartman and Theodore Hartman and one sister - Leona Botkin Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Pastor Thomas Hanks officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 17 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, WV.
