Mrs. Lucy "Jeanette" Howard Hamilton, 90, of Paw Paw, West Virginia departed this earth on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at her home. Born November 15, 1924 at Piedmont, West Virginia, she was the daughter and oldest of three daughters of the late Oliver Otis Howard and Elma Ruth Washington Howard. A graduate of Howard High School in Piedmont, Jeanette had worked at Celanese and Raygold, and retired from National Fruit in Winchester, Virginia. She sold Fuller Brush and Avon products and was a member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for many years. She was also an election poll worker and a member of the Paw Paw Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Russell Clark Hamilton, on February 8, 2006 and by two sisters, Gertrude "Irene" Smith of Keyser, WV and Elma "Joyce" Price of Piedmont, WV. She leaves behind - One daughter - Cheryl Ann Hamilton of Winchester, Virginia Three sons - Clark Russell Hamilton of Ft. Wayne, Indiana Frederick Otis Hamilton of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Howard "Craig" Hamilton of Bristow, Virginia Twelve grandchildren Nine great-grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews And a host of friends Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Rev. Darlene Powers officiating. Interment will be at Camp Hill Cemetery, Paw Paw. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, August 21 at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, WV. Jeanette had a great passion for wearing hats. In her memory, ladies are asked to wear a hat to the visitation and funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the March of Dimes.
